Cumberland day trip

Location: Cumberland, BC

Further to Michelle's request for people to ride with up island.... Cumberland Ride!  All levels welcome!

We'll meet at the parking area at Dunsmuir Ave and Sutton Road in Cumberland for approximately 11am.  Please RSVP if you plan to join us.

Unless someone else volunteers, I will stop at Dodge City Cycle on the way there to get the latest updates to the trail map.

I'd like to make this ride both guy- and dog- friendly - please let me know if anyone is uncomfortable with that.

I'd like to come.  I'd like to carpool.  I can be a driver or a passenger.  Passenger is better since the rest of my family will be car-less if I drive.

I'd definitely like to come too. I can take lots of bikes and 1 or 2 people or go as a passenger. I'm hoping that my ear will clear up by then, if not, I'd still like to go for the adventure. I will probably invite a guy. Cheers!

Awesome ladies!  I can also take lots of bikes in my truck, and one or two people. 

Any suggestions on a carpool meeting spot?  I was thinking Langford Park and Ride, but maybe something closer to town would work better?

Me and Ian will be up in Cumberland for Sat and Sun and would love to join you for the Sunday ride. We'll organize a trail map, so you don't need to worry about that one. Is it for sure that we'll do the Thirsty Beaver on Sun? Just want to make sure we do different trails on Sat then.

Thanks Rita!  Dodge City will update the trail map with all the latest builds if you ask.

I would love to try Thirsty Beaver, sounded like a lot of fun and something for everyone.

Helmcken Park and Ride works for me. BTW, I'll be bringing a boy. I think between us all we can probably squeeze between 2 cars - yay for saving on gas!

Sounds good.  Carpool from Helmcken Park and Ride, meet there at 745am to be loaded up and on the road by 8am.

My dogs will be staying home.  Forecast is too hot, so I've made other arrangements for them.

Jane - if you want to get dropped off at the park and ride in the AM, I can give you a ride home afterwards.
