riding qualicum/parksville area

Location: Victoria, BC

Hi girlz...I am going to be in Qualicum July 5-11th ish and will have my bike with me. Any suggestions on where to ride? Anyone else up that way and want to meet up? I can go further North as well.

I'd be up for Cumberland on Sunday the 11th if you don't find a tour guide for some other area.  I have a map and have ridden there a few times, have a pretty good feel for the trails.

I'd like to go on the 11th, but depends what time we'll start and how long we ride for. I'd like to get home in the early evening, so finish riding by 3. If that works, great! when would you be able to meet up?

Your best bets for riding around Qualicum are in Parksville at either Top Bridge Mountain Bike Park or at Hammerfest.  If you can't find a tour guide, you can find maps at http://www.island.net/~pmcgarri/.  (Top Bridge trails can be found on the AMC map).  I believe there are also some new trails in Malcolm Park in Qualicum but I don't know much about them.
