Sunsine Coast bike tour

Aug 7 and 8, 2010

Location: Victoria, BC

This bike tour looks like a lot of fun, so I'm posting it on our site. It's a supported, 2-day bike ride on the Sunshine Coast, and is suitable for all levels of riders. They transport your gear, provide snacks and maps etc. I've heard that it's a great event!

I'm registered.  I went on the Great Explorations Sea to Sky weekend last year and it was great.

I'm definitely interested in doing this, but my camping gear is a little unwieldy. I have a giant tent that I'm more than willing to share with others. I'm hoping that my fitness level will be up for the challenge. Jane, did you find the course super technical or was it okay?

Sorry for the delay in replying, Andrea.  I've done Sea to Sky, not Sunshine Coast, previously.  Sea to Sky had a few bits that I walked but not a lot.  It was a mix of everything--single track, fire road, Whistler Village cycling path, highway...  I was told Sunshine Coast is majority single track.  If you email Great Explorations, the outfit that runs, they are great at answering questions.

Hey,  I am also registered to do this trip!  

I just did the Sea to Sky trip,  and i am hoping for more single track riding this time!

I would be happy to car pool,  I have a subaru with a 3 car bike rack.  We will have to head out to the ferry in Nanaimo early friday afternoon to make the ferry connections to get to Langdale on time.....

Todd and I have registered too. We will already be in Vancouver on the Friday, but we can drive 1 or 2 (tighter) people with bikes back to Victoria on the Sunday. If you need a ride, let us know: kpicardatnrcan.gc.ca
